"Empowered to lead"
A Message of Hope and Healing
Dr. Angela Plowhead
About 'Empowered to Lead'
Dr. Angela Plowhead did not grow up “churched” but met Jesus when she was 13. This set her on a course of questioning how God could create her to be a strong and driven woman, when the message she seemed to get from the church and bible seemed to say that she should be meek and not have a leadership role. This book takes you on her journey of reconciliation with God as He walked her through making sense of the scriptures used to keep women out of leadership in the church. You will also read stories of other women who managed their own struggles with these messages and how they overcame them to find their way in fulfilling their call. This book is a call to action for all women in the church to find out all of who they are created to be, for the men in their lives and churches to make space to help them achieve their call, and ultimately for the church to find unity in the body.
